Manly Beach on Bikes

This a picture of the ferry that took us to Manly Beach. It's a beach north across the harbor. Enjoying the sunshine on the ride to Manly. We arrived at Manly, a really cute little beach town. We decided we would rent bikes for a leisurely ride around town. Boy were we wrong.
First we had to navigate through traffic...remember they drive on the other side of the road. So I'm leading and in my head all I keep saying is "stay to the left, stay to the left". They we had to ride...errr walk our beach cruisers up a hill you might find in San Fransisco. It was rough.
With a little prodding by Lauren, we finally made it to the top and it was completely worth it.
The views were amazing. We could see the harbor in one direction and the ocean on the other (picture above).
Harbor side. Sydney behind us.
After riding down the hill (FUN!) we stopped for drinks and lunch at the wharf. Very popular place.
We walked down to Manly Beach itself and took a little nap in the sun.
We picked the perfect time to ride the ferry back...it was sunset.
One of my favorite pictures from the trip.
Ended the night with drinks at the Opera Bar. The lights change color. Every picture we took has a different color in the background. We managed to find a fun little pub after this and danced our little hearts out with some Australians.
